We believe character development is a community effort strengthened by family and peer involvement.

A Habit-of-Heart

At Full-Circle Learning (FCL), we teach essential qualities like kindness, empathy, and integrity as "habits-of-heart." A habit-of-heart is a character trait that students develop, focusing on values like empathy, kindness, and integrity. This idea helps students realize that these qualities come from the heart and improve with practice. Students learn that these values are not fixed traits but can be developed through intentional practice and daily actions.

How Does Full-Circle Learning Teach Habits-of-Heart?

  • Engaging Activities and Multi-sensory Learning Through: storytelling, music, and thematic songs, FCL makes character traits tangible, especially for younger learners. These engaging activities allow students to connect emotionally with each habit-of-heart, making learning meaningful and memorable.

  • Inclusive Language Development FCL values inclusivity. Lessons often begin in a student’s native language to create a comfortable learning environment before gradually incorporating English. Songs and phonemic activities help students build language skills naturally, alongside their character development.

  • Real-World Applications and Service Projects Students put their habits-of-heart into action through real-world service projects. These projects encourage empathy, generosity, and teamwork, allowing students to see the positive impact of their actions on their communities and the world.
